Terms of service
Version
The agreement between you and DashForDevs. Written to be read, not to be impenetrable.
Who this is between
These terms are between you and DashForDevs. By creating an account you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind that company.
Your account
You need a real email address you control, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself.
Accounts are personal. Sharing one account between several people is not permitted — it breaks the audit trail that other people on the platform rely on, and on the regulated side of the service it is not something we can allow. If several people need access, invite them: one account each, in the same organization.
Tell us promptly if you think somebody else has got into your account.
Organizations
An organization is a group of accounts with roles and permissions. The people who administer an organization can see who is in it, change what those members may do, remove them, and require two-factor authentication of them.
Being removed from an organization, or blocked from it by a policy it set, does not affect your account or any other organization you belong to. Your account is yours.
An organization’s short name has to be unique across all of DashForDevs and cannot be transferred to anyone else, including after the organization stops using it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
break the law with it; attempt to reach accounts, data or systems you have not been given access to; probe, scan or test our security without written permission; interfere with the service or the people using it; or resell access to it without an agreement with us.
Automated access is fine through the documented API, within the published rate limits.
Your content
What you put into the service stays yours. You give us the permission needed to store it, process it and show it back to you and to the people you have shared it with — nothing beyond what running the service requires.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available and will give reasonable notice before removing something you depend on. Published API versions are supported for 24 months with 12 months’ notice before any is retired.
Ending it
You can close your account whenever you want. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we are required to act on, or that is being used to harm other people using the service — with notice where it is reasonable to give it.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we do not give warranties beyond those we cannot exclude, and our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially, we will tell you and record the new version. The version you agreed to is stored on your account, with the date, so what you agreed to stays answerable later.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of this agreement.
